Hand-building with clay is a very user-friendly route into ceramics. No wheel is required. Just your hands! Working clay with your hands is a slow, tactile, forgiving, and rewarding art practice. It is one of the most stress relieving art forms. Three techniques will be taught: pinching the clay into bowl shapes, rolling clay coils and assembling them into hollow forms, and making flat clay slabs that are cut and assembled into a variety of objects. $25.00. All supplies included. Pre-register by text at 517-936-9108 or email us at jacksonmakerspace.net.
